Local theatre artist Jeffrey Barnes , in collaboration with Theatre Non Nobis, is seeking individuals from the Indianapolis area transgender community to create a play for the upcoming Indianapolis Theatre Fringe Festival in August. The Indianapolis playwright/performer will guide participants through the creative process which will include script development, rehearsal, and performance.

The concept behind the play is to provide a forum in which individuals feel empowered to share their life experiences with the larger community in a creative and artistic atmosphere.

Jeffrey Barnes has performed his one-man play Remember Who Made You in the 2005 and 2006 Indy Fringe. In February, he performed his play as a fundraiser for The Indiana Transgender Rights Advocacy Alliance (INTRAA) and is currently on the planning team for their upcoming fundraiser Kings, Queens, and Everything In Between at Talbot Street Night Club on July 19^th .

Performance dates for the Indy Fringe are August 24 – September 2, 2007 at various venues around Indianapolis. For further info about Indy Fringe visit www.indyfringe.org .
